In this issue, see what the children have been doing during their holidays. Kindergarten have presented a fantastic assembly about caterpillars, Form II have been learning about fire safety and Lower III have been demonstrating their talents performing solo pieces to the school and their parents. There is also a short story from Jack (FI) and some imaginative Art work from children in Upper School, like this mask Muneet (FII) designed for the Highclare Art competition. Just another quiet week at Mayfield!

There has been plenty to keep children, staff and parents busy this week. It has been lovely to welcome parents of children from every class in the school to different events, including Easter Egg hunts, a cosmic production and intricate musical performances. Despite all this activity, the children have still been having lessons. This issue demonstrates just how varied a curriculum the children experience every week.

Each week seems to get busier! This week, the children have competed in competitions as diverse as Maths Challenges and Cross Country Races. All of the children took part in the Sport Relief Mile and many have also taken music exams. Next week might only be four days long, but parents will need to prepare themselves for a plethora of performances, including the highly anticipated ‘Cosmic Cafe’ Spring Festival performance by Lower II and Form II.

This week has been extremely busy. Children in Form I and KS2 have fitted assessment tests around trips to Hydesville, Aldrige, Chase Grammar and an Islamic Exhibition. Unfortunately, the snow cut the week short. Do not worry, we will be holding World Book Day celebrations next week. Eliza had fun over half term when she got her new puppy, Oscar. If you have snow photos, please send them to me.
