Sunday Times League Tables 2020

I am thrilled to give you great news at the end of a busy week! The Sunday Times League Tables Top 100 Prep Schools will be published on Sunday 22nd November 2020, but the Sunday Times has contacted me to congratulate Mayfield on being named one of the nation’s top preparatory schools. Our results had improved on the previous year, and consequently Mayfield Preparatory School has reached a very high ranking of 11, up 6 places on last year, our highest ever ranking and our tenth successive year in the Sunday Times League Tables Top 100 Prep Schools! I also note that Mayfield is level on points with the ninth and tenth ranked schools and our Mathematics score is higher than all schools outside the top three see table below). Mayfield is now the highest ranking school in the Midlands and one of the best in the United Kingdom!

I would like to congratulate the children, who always rise to the occasion, and my thanks go to the governors for their solid support, and to all the hardworking staff at the school from Pre-Nursery to Lower III, and including the administration and maintenance staff, whose combined efforts have ensured that our children have flourished in all areas of the curriculum at Mayfield, not just academically but also in sport, ICT, music, drama, languages, the arts and Early Years. Thanks also go to you, the parents, for your ongoing support and vital contribution made at home. It has been a remarkable team effort!

We will continue to do our utmost to provide the best all-round education possible for our children to enjoy at Mayfield Preparatory School! In these challenging times, it is a real fillip to have happy news, so let us all enjoy our success!
