Swimming Gala

On Tuesday 28th January, some of the LIII pupils and a FII pupil went to the Walsall Gala Swimming Baths to participate in a schools swimming gala. A staggering twelve schools were also there with us, competing in many exciting races across four strokes – Front Crawl, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly. The atmosphere was electrifying with many spectators cheering everyone on. All the Mayfield swimmers performed brilliantly under immense pressure and undoubtedly felt honoured to be representing the school. Everybody swam their very best and the race results reflected this, with Mayfield swimmers often reaching the podium. Another incredibly successful sporting fixture completed for Mayfield, with astounding results!

Well done swimmers, you were a real credit to the school!
