Mental Health Award

Mayfield Preparatory School in Walsall has recently been awarded Mentally Healthy school status from the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools. The school has had a lot of support from its parent focus group who have delivered workshops and assemblies to inform the pupils and parents about Emotional Well-being and how to reduce anxiety during Assessment time. The initiative that was supported by the Chair of Governors, Mrs June Aubrook, also included programs from external agencies and links with other schools in the local area.
