Mayfield Music Festival
On Wednesday 17th May, Mayfield Preparatory School held their annual Music Festival. Organised by Mrs Petch (Director of Music) it was judged by Mr Vause (Head of Music at Queen Mary’s) and Deputy Head of Mayfield Preparatory School (Mrs Palmer.) In total there were four rounds depending on your grade and ability.
After the festival, Mr Vause had the difficult decision into choosing who was going to win the Junior Mayfield Music Trophy; the Senior Trophy and the House Music Trophy. In the end the winners were: Krishie (in Year 4) who received the junior trophy – who played his flute and violin. The senior trophy winner was: Amrita ( in Year 6- who performed a piece on the piano. The house trophy was received by: Scott House (named after Robert-Falcon-Scott)
We would like to thank Mrs Petch – for organising this event and accompanying many children on the piano- Mrs Palmer and most of all Mr Vause, for giving up his time to be with us a t Mayfield to judge our competition. This was truly a remarkable event.
